My fuel system was worked on a couple of years ago, and there is a large plastic shield (?) that was removed, but not replaced correctly. It was dangling right behind the front bumper, and I would say it was about 3 feet across, and a little longer going back. I kept having to tie it up to the back of the bumper (nice, right?), because it would hang and/or drag the ground. Finally it was removed, but now my fuel line freezes when it didn't before I removed this piece. Its is not the fuel tank cover because it it is toward the front. Does anyone know what the part is called? It is a 2005 XL7.

Thanks~Mona

Sounds like the "cover, front under".

If you aren't going off road, leave the cover off and wrap the fuel line in water pipe cover, the same as they use in your house to prevent freezing in winter. I Used that on my diesel truck to stop the fuel waxing, and covered it in aluminium sticky duct tape to protect it (most heating installers have the sticky aluminium tape)

Its probably a lot cheaper than another cover.
