I've owned my Suzuki SX4 for a little while now and I'm getting too used to the power of the 1.6(?) liter engine. Now my idea was to fit a bigger engine in it, or maybe another 4 cylinder with a bit more horsepower, or even just stick a turbo on it. Having laid out my options, I'm still not sure what to do. Can anyone help a fellow car guy out?

Adding a turbo will be much easier than an engine swap. If you swap an engine you will find that many other parts will also need to be replaced such as the ECM, transmission, etc. Is your engine code the M16A? If so, there are turbo kits and other parts available for the Suzuki Swift that will likely work on your SX4.
