Hi all,

First post here because I need help. The Swift belongs to my sister, her interior light (above the dashboard) went and I ordered a replacement bulb. The bulb was actually the wrong one and slightly bigger than the original. It would fit if I pushed it in but would not hold. As I was fitting it the light was switched to ON so I could see the bulb lighting up. When all failed I replaced the old bulb and pushed the light cover back in.

However my sis messaged me and she says her remote key does not work, the clock on the dash has gone and even her stereo doesn't work. How has all this occurred because I tried to change a bulb. Maybe a blown fuse?

Please help anyone.

I'm not familiar with the Swift but looked at some wiring diagrams I have for the RS416 model.
It shows the interior light uses the same fuse as the radio.
This fuse also feeds some of the body control module.
So, yes I believe it could well be just the radio fuse blown.

Blown dome light fuse, controls the BCM and engine ECU, basically if that has blown (more than likely because your trying to change the bulb) then not a lot in the car will work. It may not even start.
