I want to know if there are any recalls on Suzuki S.X.4. 2010 models . Now that these auto's are no longer sold in Canada & U.S.A. & recalls are only for 10 years Have they kept airbag recall hidden from the public .

Suzuki used Takata airbags, but different ignitors. The affected ones use Ammonium nitrate, which breaks down in high humidity (because the dessicant they used hasn't worked, or has become moisture saturated) leading to an unstable and uncontrolled transformation to N2 gas to inflate the bag. Excess pressure causes the ignitor and other metallic bits to break off and impact the seat occupant causing injury and death as has been recorded.
The ones in the suzukis use Sodium Azide which breaks down to sodium metal and nitrogen (N2 gas) and is unaffected by humidity. This is why Suzuki are not affected by the recalls.
