Hi

Two years ago this light came on and I discovered I had to have the emission control system serviced, which I did. Now it's come on again and stays on constantly. Furious and thinking of throwing the car at my garage. Have to drive 70 miles back home tomorrow, no choice. Please any opinions, views on why this is happening again?

Two things that may not be related at all. Just topped up very low oil and break fluid, spilt some oil on engine. Just random stuff but you never know...

Rather than get pissed off and guessing, use a scanner and at least advise of the trigger code.

...or even know what that is. Never mind, was hoping for reply in layman's terms, after all I'm a girl. My breakdown service coming to check it out.

My 15 yr old daughter helped me replace a timing belt in a Subaru. I know men who can't/won't check the oil. Sorry, but your sex/gender isn't a good excuse anymore. At least you checked the oil, and then added it when needed. If you spill a little, just clean it up best you can and try to do a better job next time. No big deal (usually). We have all had our moments where we create a mess working with oil.

What year is your car? Wanna post a couple of pictures of your car & engine for everyone to see?

I have 4 daughters and 6 Gdaughters that can check their cars, that was a condition of obtaining a driver permit...
