Hello cachorro,

Not sure I fully understand your question but I'm interpreting that when in drive (D) and you accelerate the transmission is slipping resulting in increased RPMs but no transfer to drive shafts so the car does not accelerate.

Not sure of your location (USA or Canada?) therefore not sure if powertrain warranty is applicable. Probably not if 95000 miles and not kms.

Has your SX4 had a transmission fluid change (it should be due its second perhaps third change if you do towing)? Is the fluid level correct and Dexron III used?

Hopefully, someone else on the forum will be able to advise.
