Today, I came across some Jeep guys on a Florence trail, and they were talking some crap about Suzukis, Samurais in particular. I told them to come to this site and look at the better-than-jeep rigs themselves. All I'm asking is that everbody who has pride in their Zuki should post a picture or comment for these guys. They are going to be looking for this post, so please show off your ride. Everybody always thinks Jeeps are the best... Well, they aren't!

it's not that samurais are better than jeeps.

it's that they can do everything a jeep can, go places a jeep cannot, and cost WAY less to buy, modify, and maintain.

but in america mostly we are bent on bigger, faster, better, basically more ego. a jeep guy, even if he watched a samurai own him on the trail, will never believe a samurai is better than his bigger jeep. that's just the way it goes. you'll never convince them.

The easiest way to change the mind of a die-hard jeeper is to do a trail with them. Don't brag, don't rag, just do a few obstacles that seem to give them trouble. If you do them with relative ease, the normal person will rethink their position, the idiot will just... stay an idiot.
Stay calm and be humble, it speaks louder than a megaphone when they have to believe their own eyes.

you know stupid is as stupid does, screw em if they dont like the little zuk rigs.

generally the people that have been around a while have seen a zuk that can perform. the people that only run with jeeps and only watch jeeps will only ever like jeeps. once again screw them and their closed minds.

the reason i got into the sami, is that it is so much cheaper to mod out, lighter, and all around smaller rig.i have taken 4 wheeler trails, just fold in the mirrors and go.

Hi if you want to see the JEEPS OWNERS CRY show then this link from wikipedia Suzuki SJ - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

High Altitude World Record

On April 21, 2007, the Chilean duo of Gonzalo Bravo and Eduardo Canales drove their modified Suzuki Samurai (SJ413) up Ojos del Salado, past the previous record set by a Jeep at 6,646 meters (21,804 ft), setting a new record for the highest altitude attained by a four-wheeled vehicle at 6,688 meters (21,942 ft).

The Samurai in question benefitted from wheel, tire, suspension changes, and a supercharged G16A 4-cylinder underhood. It was the third attempt for the two man team, after encountering weather difficulties on the first attempt and an engine fire in the second. The previous record holder's team lead by Matthias Jeschke riding a Jeep Wrangler, left a sign reading "Jeep Parking Only: All others don't make it up here anyway". The Chilean team found the sign, blown down by strong winds, and brought it back to civilization as a souvenir.
The modified vehicle used in the expedition.

This Record was duly Certified by the Guinness World Record in July 2007.:D

so don't worry and be happy

Lets see,

We Zuk owners enjoy
1. lower prices on buying the vehicle,
2. Cheaper parts, maintence,
3. lower fuel consumption (at least while you still keeping the original stock engine)
4. Cheaper Modification costs

Them BIG Jeep owners
1. Pay more for the vehicle......Get a Loan
2. Costly Parts/Maintenance....Find Second Job
3. Fuel Consumption on a BIG JEEP?....Go figure
4. Modif on a BIG JEEP?......Mortgage the House

In this current world economic crisis....

Zuk owners probably feel a pinch or mioght just go easy on the modifications.

BIG JEEP Owners? Probably lose the JEEP, Job, Credit Cards, House......

Who knows, soon them BIG JEEP owners will probably be walking down the trail just to watch us roll.....Muhahahahahaha

Hehe, maybe this just an coincidence...

Helped out a friend today by introducing him to my regular suspension workshop hoping to get a good price for getting his CJ7 (1981) a higher lift (3")

It costs my SJ410 Rupiah 320,000 (about USD 32 bucks) cost him a whoopi Rupiah 2 million (around USD 200 !!!)

Thats about 6.25 times the price for the same job but difference between a Zuk and the CJ7.....Now, if thats not a SAVING.....I don't know what is.
