Whenever it is cold, the car every now and then rumbles really bad. Doesn't seem like i'm loosing any power (or at least its not a very noticeable power drop.) I monitor fuel mileage, but haven't seen a drop. The muffler is being replaced in a week because the internals have come loose and rattle, but i can't think that this would cause the problem. I'm wondering if maybe one of the ignition coils has gone bad with the weather. All the spark plugs are in excellent shape (nice and brown with no carbon build up) Problem seems to clear up in the summer. Is there any way to check the coils with an ohm meter and if so what should the values be? Any help would be appreciated.

I am going to replace the spark plugs and see if this helps a bit.
