Hi all, has anyone heard about a recall announced by Suzuki this year related to breaks malfunction for models produced between 2016 and 2022? Looks like that more than 400k cars are affected globally.

I was not able to find in any official Suzuki channel, only in a couple of news articles from Sweden and Australia.

In Swedish, has to be translated...

Just got an answer from Suzuki in Sweden:

"That's right, your car will be called for a check valve replacement.
The material has not yet arrived, but is expected to arrive before January.
No cars will be called in before there is access to the spare parts, as there are many cars, letters will be sent to the owners in batches."

Now just have to wait. It is worth a double check with them.

Its not a brake malfunction, but a booster vacuum valve that could reduce booster efficiency. Back to the good old days with no brake assistance and needing to lift your bum off the seat to press the pedal harder.

Brakes will still work, you just might have to push harder. Same as when the engine isn't running.

Yes
Also, if I check my car on the gov.uk website it says it is subject to an outstanding safety recall
Then ring your dealer and ask.

Has anyone had notification yet to have the work carried out?
Has anyone had notification yet to have the work carried out?
I emailed Suzuki in Sweden last year and they said that they had to wait till the replacement parts were delivered to communicate the owners, but they confirmed my car is in the range indeed. Still awaiting for them to reach out to me....

My dealer says they are awaiting notification from Suzuki to start booking cars in for checking/rectification.
That’s why my original question-has anyone received notification yet.
