So i have a little dilema.. Calmini is out of stock of their 5" lift kits till next year? So the 3.5" kit is all i can get right now. I really need to get my sammy lifted and send it to paint..any of you guys have any sugestions? i really want to see what it would look like lifted 3.5" any pics? Im not a hard core rock climber i just want to daily drive it and occasionally offroad on trails and possibly sand.
I have 31x10.50x15 and 15" rims. I really am looking for a nice stance and im worried the 3.5" lift might not be enough? whats your guys take on this? i appreciate any feeback..thanks

on 31's with mild trail use a 5" lift is unnecessary anyway. You'd just be creating a less stable vehicle in order to look taller. only reason to run a 5" lift is if you need to clear 33's or larger. If you just want it to sit high for looks, then do a 2 inch body lift on top of your 3" suspension lift. That way you're only putting the weight of the body up higher instead of lifting the entire chassis and power-train off the ground those extra 2 inches.

i know that calimini isnt my only option, i am in so. california and know that calmini is also in cali and the shipping was not too bad i think only about $80
i found that some of the competitors web sites were kind of confusing with all the "add on options" for their kits i felt it was overwhelming and i dont want to over do it or under cut my suspension..what is the ideal kit i should go with from which manufacturer? right now im leaning on what baractacus recommended and just do the 3.5" calmini..and later if necessary do a 2 or 3" body lift

if you're in so. cal, check out petroworks. their shop is here in fallbrook.

Calmini is primarily a shackle reverse or a sping over lift shop and petroworks primarily deals in spring over axle lift, but both shops are stock lenght samurai springs. whether dakar or Old Man Emu or OEM, the short spring is going to give you a bumpy ride.

Trail tough and Low range offer jeep spring conversions which will give you a longer spring and a softer ride. The modifications to the suspension are a little more involved but not too crazy.

There are lots of options but you need to go through them and find what suits your driving needs the best, as all of them have different strengths and weaknesses.
