Hi for future reference this happened yesterday on my 2015 Vitara. Pulled the relevant fuse (under dash #16) to check it. Put the fuse back, light no longer flashing. Guess I reset the circuit. I think it came on in the first place when I manually stopped and started the engine twice in succession whilst checking something else out.I think the battery is o.k but will get it checked out. The car drives fine just a bit annoying with the light flashing constantly. cheers.
your battery is running out. it is functional but it is close to the end, actually when engine starts so there is a hell of amperes running through the voltage drops almost to 9-10V. when this is happening the battery is not ok and even the car is started normally the initial check that ECU does fails. Then the Auto S/s is disabled and the relevant lamp is flashing...The S/Start light on the dash is flashing on my Vitara. I have tried cancelling it but it will not stop flashing. The stop/start system is now un-oprable. Any ideas.
