hi all

I'm just wondering about what oil should be used in the steering box for the sj413. I know the transfer case, diffs and transmission take 80w-90 oil which is recommended by suzuki, will this do in the steering box also? I have looked through the haynes manual and can't find anything on changing steering box oil.

thanks in advance Daryl

Steering box should take diff oil 80w-90 or similar.
If it is an old vehicle like mine, you may find that it leaks out of the lower oil seal. In that case, just fill the box with a mix of grease and diff oil. Mix so it is the thickness of treacle or honey.

thanks john. Do you know how much I should put in. Should it be filled to near the top?
