I have a 93 Geo Tracker, it used to drive nicely. Now the rear end feels squirreley. Just before this happened I jacked it up to change the brakes and I put the jack under the rear carrier. What did I screw up?

TIA
Rolly

You may want to seriously get under the car and thoroughly check the rear frame and crossmembers by the rear suspension for cracking, holes, rust, etc. This is a known rust area. Of course, the first thing I would check is the rear tire pressure...:)

I had a similar situation about 3 weeks ago. After a hard winter, I heard a clunk coming from the rear end, upon take off, it felt like the tail was waging the dog. Proceeded slowly home. When I examined the rear end to find the fault, discovered all 4 bolts connecting the 3rd link had broken off.
