My local garage have replaced the nearside rear wheelbrgs.... Grumbly + Rumbly!
The bearings which came out had no seals and we're rusty as a ships anchor 😵

I had the SKF set put in = two doubleseal bearings 👍

Would the factory fit open bearings but not a seal?, for grease leaking out/dirt moisture getting in 🤔

I don't know that filling in the torque strut is a good idea - I did it on my Swift, along with the engine mounts, the intent being to "tame" a violent "axle tramp" on a hard launch (violent enough that the "shock loading" wiped out the differential).

Stiffening up the mounts cured the axle tramp, but it also transferred a huge amount of NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) with the engine at idle, the entire body shell buzzed, and that was the four cylinder Swift, your three banger vibrates more than the four.

Yes.... The pros, over Geo Forum, absolutely firm on 'No Filling on 3s'.. ha ha
This isn't windscreen glue & I will now have the 'old' factory dogbone = could buy a pattern rubber donut and press it in (to swap back in future) 👍

I have the >> advised!! >> vibbrration, on ingear hold.
I have now gummied up the 'old' (car original) dogbone >> but added a piece of hidensity foam at the centre knuckle....
I will swap out this (when fully cured) and compare vibration/lack of/reduction.

The firmness, however, does show as a clean eagerness to pull hard & snicketty upshifts.
I am pleased I have two parts to interchange >> the journey has just begun 🚙💨
