Hi,
I replaced the o-ring between the distributor housing and the engine block on my 88 Samurai. The timing is now off a little and I do not have a timing light. How can I adjust the timing and where is the adjustment.

Thanks for any help.

Turn the distributor to adjust.
The marks are at the crank pulley, or the alternate is the mark on the flywheel (seen through the view port in the bellhousing by the brake master cylinder). But neither will do you any good without a light.

Thanks. That's what I did- loosen the distributor adjustment nut and turned until the engine ran smoothly at idle and re tightened the nut. It seems to run fine now. Is there any reason I should try and get a light and do anything differently?

I got a light coming in the next couple of days and I will do just as you suggest. Thanks for the help, Billjohn- I appreciate it!
