I have an '86 samurai with a 1.3l. The problem I'm having is that once it has warmed up to regular operating temp the rpms increase to just about 2k and from there it begins to run rough. After that the rpms begin to slowly decrease and continues to run rough until it eventually stalls out. Once it has stalled out if I restart it it will immediately stall out unless I give it throttle. I've rebuilt the carb with a kit, replaced all vacuum lines, replaced the PCV, new distributor cap and rotor as well as new plug wires and plugs. I've checked compression and its ok, not great but meets the minimum psi that the manual states. I've tried to check the timing but I can't get it to idle and the rpms required. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Make sure that the autochoke disengages properly.
