Does anyone have an idea as to why an 87 Samurai would lose power going from 3rd to 4th gear? The engine continues to sound strong just no power.

what size tires are you running? have you changed your gearing in your transfer case or differentials?

Thanks for the reply. It has 29 inch super swampers on it right now. I am not sure if the gears have been changed or not. Is there a way to check that does not require me to rip it apart (I'm still learning)?
