I'm involved with the local air search and rescue organization and last week we needed to use my vehicle (2003 XL7) during a search.

We use portable radio detection equipment (battery powered receiver and mag mounted rooftop antenna's) to locate an aircrafts emergency transmitter (approx 121 Mhz). This was the first time my vehicle was used and the RF noise was extremely bad whenever anything electrical was used in the vehicle (signals, door locks, windshield wiper, fan, etc).

The only thing that didn't generate noise was the rear window wiper.
We've never experienced RF noise like in any of the other vehicles.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to reduce/eliminate the RF noise?

Thanks
Rob
