For everything but the carb, it's strictly OEM or whatever you find at the auto parts store.

You can get a rebuilt Hitachi carburetor but a lot of folks have found that a aftermarket CV carburetor kit from Zuksoffroad (ZOR Zuks Off Road) is simpler and works great in offroad conditions. It is not guaranteed to pass any emissions test but it does perform better than the Hitachi. The next choice is the Weber DGAx32/36 series. It has problems running off-camber - especially when climbing steep grades.

Neither will really improve the performance if your engine is worn out - bad compression, leaky valves, etc. I would make sure that your engine is running right before considering a carburetor swap - or even installing a rebuilt Hitachi. It would be a waste of money without a decent-running engine.
