I think that you mean front fender, verses the rear (quarter panel), no?

Doesn't that fender simply have fasteners to unbolt and remove?

What year and model?

Good Day, I don't know if you fixed this problem yet or not.... but the fenders are an assembly on the samurai as the diagram for the parts catalog shows in maxes posting. You can disassemble the fender assembly by drilling out the spot welds and taking the skin off the assembly. It is easier to remove the whole fender and less labor intensive than trying to pull off the skin and then source the replacement for it. Assuming your grille is removed, The screws are........ 1 inside the door jamb, you will need to remove the door hinges from the body also as the lower hinge holds the fender, two 10mm bolts next to the battery, one screw in a small tab on your tub that goes into a boss on the flare retainer at the bottom (metal bracket for fender flare). Two bolts for the brake distribution block (left hand drive samurai) The under side in the wheelhouse where it meets the tub there are 4 10mm head bolts at the front there are 5 points where the fender attaches to the tie top and bottom and they normally are all Phillips head screws, there is a bronze braze in the joints of the ties to the fenders so a little caution should be exercised when removing. Aside from the wiring and any other things that might interfere that have been installed that should get it off for you. I hope this helps.

Mike
