Hey y'all -

I've searched as much as I can but can't really find any information on replacement exhaust systems for these cars (I have a 2008 SX4, 110K miles). I used to get replacement systems for other cars that were fairly reliable from an e-store in NJ but even they don't have the SX4 exhaust system.

Has anyone here replaced their exhaust system (say from the cat-back) on their SX4 with non-Suzuki parts? I have two leaks now and will need to replace the system from the 2nd cat back to somewhere close to the muffler. I took it to a shop who didn't have the appropriate tubing, parts, etc. and who priced the parts at my nearest Suzuki dealership and the parts alone came to $2,400!!! Not a chance I am paying that for replacement exhaust system!

Anyway, was wondering if anyone here had any success with purchasing exhaust systems online (most systems I see don't have O2 sensor ports, etc). CARID seems to be a possibility; anyone got experience with them?

Thanks in advance!

Hello
I just replaced my components my self due to pipe problems. I have my cat and pipe, you are welcome to it. although I may live to far. I ordered mine from rock auto. It was from cat back to muffler. Main cat was not replaced just second one. Best thing I could have done.

Super, super nice of you to offer your parts! Thank you!
However, I actually just got in the kit I ordered and it looks like it will fit just fine!
I ended up getting the direct fit catalytic converter and pipe assembly which includes the resonator for $259 from CARiD. I'm going to install it in over the next week and will update the thread if there are any adverse fitment or operational issues with it.

I ordered mine from rock auto, it was a walker. It came in two pieces and seems very good quality. The bolts and springs were included for the front, although it did not come with the nuts just keep that in mine. I was very impressed how it went together. I'm no ace mechanic but it went well. I was on my back with a few jacks.

Exciting time was connecting all together due to multiple pieces. This is all due to the fact that till the back is lined up then the two pipes can't be clamped together. I had the hardest time with the clamp near the exhaust. The new pipe slides into old pipe near the muffler, Then the clamp goes on to connect the two. This bulge on the new pipe was a hair wider and it made for a frustration time. It just barely barley locked in. I hope your piece is more like oem. Saying all this so far so good, no leaks or engine lights. All for about 260.00

Let me know how you make out, and what brand was it?
The kit I purchased was Davico from CARiD - it is pretty much exactly what you got!
Looking back at your other post - I had the very same fitment issues that you described above. A lot of swearing on my part but I eventually got the two pieces clamped together.
Initially frustrating but overall, well worth it for the money rather than paying full price for OE Suzuki exhaust system.

So glad it worked out. How was the rear clamp? Was it a hard to install due to size difference or no problems? Hopefully no problems.
Like I said my new pipe had a larger bulge.
