I have an 88 sami I recently lost the rear u joint and ruined the yoke so I just got a driveline from a guy with an 87 sami but my flange on the rear driveline doesnt match I called the guy I got it from and he said with my 5.12 gears and it being hybrid he said it might have a sidekick third member hoe can I find out and can I just get the flange from him and change mine out?

Can you describe exactly what axle and third member you are using on YOUR Samurai? Hybrid Tracker axle? Aluminum Tracker third on a Samurai axle?

It is difficult to figure out what your problem is without more specific information.

Punctuation helps make the sentences easier to read, too.

Thr yokes/flanges come in two different sizes depending on your year and model. It would be better if you either got the right size driveshaft (yoke) side or a complete shaft. changing out the pinion flange can lead to other problems if you don't reassemble it correctly. Take a look at the transfer case side and I will bet that it is also different...
