It finally quit raining, so outside to look over my new toy. Got my idle set properly so I was able to get under the hood with the engine running. Even though there is fresh oil and dirt on the bellhousing.....I thought this was a leak at the distribuator. Turns out the leak is out of the rear main with exhaust blowby. Leaks pretty good. Engine rebuild more sooner than later. Now for the questions. For what I can gather, the Samurai come with a 1.3 Litre unless it has been changed out. Where can I check to make sure? I can only assume that this is the origional engine......but you know what assuming will get you. Hopefully I can just get this one rebuilt. I like dealing with origional iron.

Thanks,

On the driver's side, on the side of the bell-housing flange, there is a flat spot that will display the displacement, at least my original early '88 does, it shows 1325cc. You might have to clean it to see it, since you have fresh dirt and oil. I hope this helps.
