HI , THE WINDOW ON THE DRIVERS SIDE HAS DIED ( GRAND VITARA , 1600cc PETROL, 2 DOOR , 2002 )
THE CABLE THAT DOES THE PULLING AND PUSHING [ SO TO SPEAK ] HAS SNAPPED [ RUSTED THROUGH ]
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS , IS IT AN EASY JOB TO REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT , AND IF SO , HOW IS IT DONE ? HOPING SOME ONE KNOWS , SO CHEERS IN ADVANCE.

DR-SYN - please be aware that posting all in UPPER CASE is considered yelling and rude - it also makes your post very difficult to read.

Regarding your question, you need to recognize that different people have different skill sets - I would consider removal of a window regulator to be a simple task, but, without knowing your skill set, I would be unable to tell you if it is something you could do easily.

Essentially it's a matter of wedging the glass in place (rubber door stops work well), unbolting the regulator and extracting it from the door.
