bling gas door installation

The tough part about getting old is forgetting what stuff looks like after a few days... I guess I need to drive the samurai more often :D

I seem to recall that the only thing between you and the backside of the gasoline filler pocket is the cosmetic panelling and a stamped-steel cover piece that can be removed with a philips-head screwdriver. If I am right, you should be able to easily bolt the cover on rather than using tacky-looking pop rivets.

I hope that this helps!

yeah, it's just a metal cover behind the rear side panel. Had to remove it to patch the vapor bottle once. Just a few screws. Not even the hard screws.

Have you fitted the fuel cap, I think it would look good, and thinking of doing sumet similar, but can you remove the proper cap through the gap. Jamie

Not yet, I am still searching for one that may fit, I would think the cap would fit through the hole, it is not a factory cap though it is an aftermarket one w/ a key lock
