Hey guys,

My yellow top Optima is dead or sick. It shows 9 volts and won't take a charge slow or quick. It is just over a year old and the top says it is only replaced up to a year...wouldn't u kno.
Someone says it has to have a special charger, any one heard of that ?
Is there a way to 'shock' it back to life ? Any one had this happen to them ?

There are a few differences between this type of battery and a conventional lead-acid or gel battery, you need to read the FAQ section at Optima's website. I've used this type of battery in the past and used a large Power Supply Unit to recharge them controlling the current draw with the PSU current limit and voltage.
