Just had a text from my dealer to say my car has been assembled and waiting to be shipped .
at long last things are moving , but wonder how long from shipping to delivery will now be ?

Ignis are assembled and shipped from japan. Now understand delivery could be between 5 to 8 weeks.

The Ignis is manufactured in Japan only. The Indian version of the Ignis, made by Maruti is sold domestically and to Indonesia. Vehicles manufactured in India are exported widely, including the UK - imports need to meet the requirements (eg type approval) of the destination country.

It was subject to a major recall where it was repainted and all the wrong parts replaced.

my ignis has hit uk shores and if no delays , the dealership is expecting end of week to mid next week. then delivery inspection and fit my options to car.

OMG that gives me such hope! Ordered an allgrip early October with an estimate of Q1 “onwards”. Car nicked in September and been without one since. God I hope mine was on the same boat!
