I just replaced my oil pan gasket on my 1987 samurai Suzuki I just bought. While putting back the oil pan I realized one of the bolts near the flywheel does not fit accordingly, too small and does not grab the threads. I am also missing I believe what is called dust cover for the flywheel is that correct? Does the dustcover attach to the oil pan gasket with the larger bolt?

The flywheel dust cover does not bolt to the oil pan gasket.

All the oil pan bolts go into the block vertical.

Taking something apart and observing how it came apart and reading wear patterns is the first step in becoming a good mechanic.

TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES BEFORE YOU START

New dust covers are about $10.

There are only a few different sizes of nuts and bolts used in the vehicle not counting the frame and its components.
