Hey guys recently purchased a 2009 model grand vitara.
It's the 3 door SWB version, 2.4L petrol, 5 speed.
Only 41000 kilometres on it. It's like new!

I was looking around at earlier models but found it difficult to locate a clean good condition car, that was a reasonable distance away from me.
I'm glad i spent the extra money!

few questions. .

I've been flat out reading forums for a few weeks now but I still have a few questions.
I'm looking at modifying the car a little, new wheels, larger all terrain tyres, skid/bash plates and a 40-50mm lift. Oh and some custom recovery points.

My question is what particular order should I do the mods?
I'm thinking bash plates first, easy one.
Should I lift the car before fitting larger tyres too allow more room? I can't remember the exact size of tyre that kept popping up in other threads but I would to keep it tame and not loose my economy.
Also I'd like a new wheels, what offset would fill the guards better?

I was reading king springs give a reasonable result by just swapping the springs? I don't plan to get too crazy off road at all really, but from what I've read a lift is pretty beneficial. Or do you recommend doing it properly with a full lift kit?
Thanks guys
