My 87 carborated Sami came with an MRG electronic fuel pump, which is putting out 8psi. All the auto shops and mechanics say that it shouldn't make difference...but when you consider that the origrinal mechanical pump put out between 3-7psi, it seems to me that the one extra psi over the top, could be the cause of my flooding carb (newly rebuilt). When it runs it runs way too rich, it actually spits fuel from the tail pipe.

Yesterday I found a low pressure fuel pump at Trail Tough Products for carburated sammys.

Am I on to something here? Opinions Please

Thanks
Sabine

8psi is way too high for a Sammy carb, most people that I know run around 2.5 to 3 psi
