Friends of ours just bought a 2008 JL with 125,000km, the automatic and low range, for $8200.
It had been rear-ended in 2009, with $11,000 to fix it. I've looked it over pretty carefully, and driven it, and I can't find anything wrong with it beyond evidence of the repainting and a couple of barely-detectable dents. It seems quieter and the steering is less twitchy than our 2006 JLX-L with 100,000km. And it has a proper mileage readout and a remote gas filler release, both of which ours annoyingly lacks. But then we have the heated seats and sunroof.
Since the 2.7 was offered only in '06-'08, if someone wants $15,000 for one, it better be pristine and have almost no mileage on it. Bear in mind that used cars typically sell for 15-25% less than the asking prices.
