1st Post.....
Im looking to override the "safe mode" on the dealer installed Kenwood Navigation in my GFs 2011 Kizashi. I have done this many times, just not on a kenwood yet. Typically its just grounding a sensor wire or moving a wire in the harness.

My question is has anyone done this in the Kizashi? I believe the model is DNX 6020ex.

Any pics of what wire to be grounded would be great.

Thanks!

If it's wired the same as the Aussie Kenwood DNX system there will be a wire that runs down to the hand brake (ie. under the centre console.) It's joined onto the wire that is grounded with the handbrake operating- it should be pretty easy to spot. Ground the wire from the head unit permanently.

The other option is to remove the head unit. Then cut the wire (insulate the end that runs down to the handbrake) and permanently ground the end that goes to the head unit.

The wire to be grounded should be a light green colour. http://manual.kenwood.com/files/52d63508d0483.pdf
