i recently bought jimny 99 and am looking at a set of fat boy wheels?? they are 8" by 15". 5* 139.7 any taughts on these. also a set of 255/60/15 with alloy wheel. current wheels on it are 205/70/15 will the 255 tyre/wheel require spacers and what does that envolve. jeep is used mainly for road but will deffo be taking off road the odd time for bit of fun so any recommondations on tyres,wheels and suspension set up would be great help

The 8" rims are Wideboy rims, the backspacing is greater than on the Jimny so you may need to adjust the steering stops a little to avoid the steering linkage rubbing on the rim on full lock. For an offroader I would go with a 7" rim with 215/75/15 tyres. A narrower tyre works better on a Jimny, its much less prone to tramlining and aquaplaning.

Cheers rhinoman that's what i wanted to know. had my eye on all terrain 235/75/15 earlier going for a steal what u think about them? To wide maybe??
