Good evening,

something very strange happening and need help. I have a 2010 grand vitara v6. the noise I am getting is like a rubbing against another piece of plastic or something. When turning left or right and braking I sometimes hear the heater cabin fan rubbing against something else. It does not matter if the fan is turning slow or fast. When I hear the noise, i can turn the nob to lower he speed and it seems to help a bit. When i finish turning or accelerate, the noise goes away. very strange. It seems to happen about 20% of the time

Possible issues:
The cabin blower fan blades are loose
Could there is ice that formed and the blades are rubbing against it...
Could the motor be bad... Hmmmmm

Anyone?

Thx

Marcos

The fan is a solid piece of plastic I believe so I can't imagine loose blades. It's possible that some foreign material has worked its way in but with a cabin filter in between that sems like a stretch.

Probably the thing to do is pull the fan motor and see what is going on.
