I have a 2012/13 GV 3rd gen with the 1.9 DDiS Renault engine with only 40,000 miles/60,000kms and the injector warning light has come on and the vehicle gone into limp mode (well an extremely limp mode whether software originated or otherwise!).

I've had numerous diesels with 4/5 times that mileage and never had an injector problem....is this common on the Renault engine?

Is it likely to be a blocked injector or can something else cause this warning light and limp mode?

Would I do any damage if I drove it 20kms to the garage? I did about the same distance yesterday after the light came on while on the autoroute and I got the impression the limp mode was getting slightly worse as I got nearer to home, so don't want to end up breaking down en route....

Thanks for your help :)

limp mode is there to protect the engine in most cases. Find a renault specialist and get it diagnosed properly. you should be ok driving it to a service centre, but it could fail.
