I pulled the tank to replace the fuel pump, all the lines on the pump hanger flange are almost rusted through and the frame crossmember the tank mounts to is also gone... obviously. I priced everything out for stock replacement, and a 5 gal fuel cell and msd fuel pump is is quite a bit cheaper.

My question is about the fuel pump, will the ecu regulate psi of the aftermarket pump if I use the stock fuel pump connections? I can't see why not, hoping someone knows.

I like the added clearance, I was looking at welding a recess in the floor to mount the cell or if it's not too bulky I could reinstall in the original location with a new beefier skid plate. I'm still practicing with a cheap stick welder...

This is not my daily driver, it's my quad with a heater ;)

The fuel pressure regulator (already on the car) should do the job, as long as you have adequate, and not crazy excessive, fuel pressure from the new pump.

EDIT: You have fuel injection, correct, and not adapted carburetor?
