For some time now my Sami has had trouble starting and once in a while for no apparent reason stopped, not stalled really just stopped and would usually start right up. Got used to stroking the wires coming out of the back of the ignition switch (key).
Finally quit altogether and would not start no matter how gently stroked.
Took the ignition off the steering column and replaced the pig tail ( only one small threaded screw) Had already replaced the ignition switch from a Suzuki car from the wreckers couple years ago. Used the old pigtail and no more problems. Would not have had to remove the switch but did not know how the pig tail mounted. While had it out grooved the headless bolts that hold the switch in with my dremel tool, now takes a slotted driver.
Hope this helps someone else.
