Hi All,
I have a continuing problem with my Sierra 1990 1.3 Ltr carbureted 4x4.
It runs great most of the time but I am chewing through the "O" ring seal on the end of the idle valve. I replace it and it works fine then after highway trips at 100km ph, when I get back to city driving it will not idle under 1100rpm. When I pull out the idle valve the "O" ring is destroyed, either split or the outer section removed as like it was two rings.

Any ideas on why this would happen may restore some sanity.
