Hello, I just bought a brand new (2014) Suzuki Alto SZ, bought it because it was cheap and for £6000 I wasn't expecting much but I would like better speakers. I already have my Radio Fascia on its way as that stock radio is going.

How do I add speakers to the front doors (not bothered about rear just yet), I've been told there aint any wiring for the door speakers but I am assuiming there is still a way to do it. Is there any wiring harness I can buy, would I need to hardwire the wires from the speakers into the back for the radio myself or is there any simpler way.

I don't want to take it to a specialist as I like to do all my work on cars by myself.

Also what size are the speakers in the door?

I had the same thought process with my 2014 Alto. I've finally just done mine. 6" FLI Interogators (from Halfords) will fit fine front and rear, you have to space/raise the fronts just enough so the window doesn't hit the back when down. Drill extra holes for a couple of screws to hold speakers in place. Hard wire speakers, getting through door gromits is fiddly, find a route from the cabin to the A post then cut a hole in main door gromit and feed cable through (I used metal rod to lead cable). Rears are easier. Door cards and trim all pops off easily, may break a few clips which aren't expensive to replace. Now have 6 speaker stereo (bridged fronts from Pioneer head unit) and sounds loads better, well worth the money. Stereo, ISO, Fasia, 2 sets of Speakers and extra speaker wire £137.
