Good afternoon, I'm new to the samurai world. Just bought my first one. It's an 88. When I bought it, the guy said that it had a 1.6 bottom end with a 1.3 head. I'm trying to buy parts for the engine, such as spark plugs, wires and such and don't know if to buy them for the 1.6 size of the 1.3? And if so, how do I know what the bottom end came from: sidekick, or tracker. Is there a number I can check on the engine to find out what it came from. Thank you

The Sidekick and Tracker 8V engines are identical - it is a Suzuki engine. For plugs use the 1.6 items, wires should be the same. A 1.6 conversion in a samurai will use the Sammy flywheel and clutch. The intake system could be Samurai or Track/Kick but with a 1.3 head is most likely to be Samurai, is it carb or injection?
