I don't see any videos or post on how to remove that shaft. It can slide only so far over, but not enough to clear the hole. I can't believe these actually bend from use

It should be bolted onto the steering shaft support under dash.. Been a long time since I was under a dash...

No, lol. It's inside the bell housing.

The that would be deeper below the dash, LOL, but check and you will see one similar... down under
