Hello ,
Please help. I've recently changed the stem seals on the head .On starting, the engine ran nicely but the ballast resistor next to the coil became so hot the soldered connections melted . Whilst doing the stem seals the only disturbance of the electrics was disconnecting the plugs and taking off the distributor cap. Is it just a coincidence ? and what could cause the resistor to get so hot , as i said the engine runs very smooth .
Thanks,
Bryan
