Hi guys!

It's in my head for a long time and I finally found out somebody already beat me in doing this DIY. I suggest putting an extra water hose using an extra windshield washer to your condenser.

Since it's very hot in the Philippines and the Manila traffic will really strain our airconditioning system. Why not put an extra windshield washer container which you can buy in a surplus shop and then connect a transparent hose and a mister at the end. I am not sure if this is available in hardware stores but a good mister made of brass will do the trick. Add your own electrical wirings and button to activate it.

Right now, i use the one they sell for watering the orchids. It works in lowering the temp in your engine.

If your not yet satisfied with your AC coldness, just use a splitter and add an extra line inside you ride and walah! Your own personal mister!

Hello to all fellow Suzuki Every/Carry owner. New member here. I just bought my second hand Suzuki Every 660 from my cousin but I havent tried it yet since its still under engine repair.

You got a very nice idea there, especially when the summer heat seems to be so harsh and relentless this year. I remember I had to go out of vehicle and pour water to our highlander AC condenser to help the AC efficiency. This mister would really boost our AC performance especially when enduring those standstill traffic when our AC doesnt get any flowing air.

I will ask my mechanic to install one. Thanks for the idea.

You can also modify your stock AC to make it more efficient. After we reinstalled the AC, we found out that the existing configuration restrict the exhausting cold air. The cold air is not pushed efficiently having to travel long lines of distribution tubes then being sort of bottledneck and air furthered weakened being spreaded out to four car vents. One shop suggested reversing the blower configuration making it suck air from the evaporator rather than blow to it. And only the two central vents which is nearest to the blower will be functional since he will channel the exhausting air direct to it. I yield to his suggestion in despair since I cant really bear the heat when I travel even with my AC setting at full. He then proceeded to repositioning the blower and cutting protruding parts that may prevent it from fitting inside of the dashboard.

The result is in cooling effect is significant. No more bottlenecks and the design is simple yet streamlined. I then installed a blower ceiling type fan to distribute the cold air throghout the van. The only downside is the noise of gushing air.

If you guys have 2nd hand vans it may be an idea to get the gas changed in your AC systems also if your systems have cabin filters fitted make sure they are in good condition and replace if needed.

Hey Roblie,

When I bought my AC it has a ready AC system. The blower and cooling coil came from the rear AC of a pajero. The blower sucks the cold air from the cooling coil and I do have a strong blower especially at the two vents in the center. But since I don't have a carpet and insulation the cold air from the AC and the heat from the front engine of my Zuki are opposing one another.

I can relate. The original carpet rubber insulation to the cargo area of my Suzuki is gone which pose a cooling problem since the engine which is located underneath that area is seeping heat. So I buy and lay those styrofoam with foil insulation then put a regular carpet over it. And the radiator in front is also not properly insulated. I then again used the cheap insulation to repel heat away from the van. Imagine the heat that was accumulating inside my minivan when it had no proper insulation. I once jokingly called my Every "Ovan" meaning oven na van :lol: due to the notorious heat we have to bear inside. I believe the default AC is not really adequate in our kind of weather so modifying like installing a dual condenser, much more powerful blower etc. and your condenser mister is really required.

Mister where???

Greetings! Is the mister supposed to blow water on the condenser or on the passengers like at an amusement park? :confused:
