Help With Automatic

Hi All.

I'm having an issue with my Suzuki grand Vitara 2005 1.6 petrol automatic. (SQ416 97hp)

It seems to be stuck in 3rd gear when I select Drive. It shifts perfectly from L to 2 when I do it manually. Also there is no indication of the A/T and O/D switches working.

I have check everything that I can, however today I noticed the ECU was changed. It was written on the way the scrap yards do to mark them. Is it possible that a manual ECU was installed?

The part number for the ECU that's in the car is.

33920-50J2 0
050J2 EY
E6T16971H

Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks in advance.

The new ecu is here with key and immobilizer. Getting ready to install it. Would anyone know if I could do the following instead of changing the ignition barrel?

Could I unplug the old immobilizer which fits over the ignition and plug in the new one and remove the ID46 chip in the key and put the new ID46 transponder in its place?
As far as I'm aware the units don't "mix & match", they are programmed as a set (including the key) and you either swap them as a set, OR, you reprogram them if/when you replace the parts individually.

Ok thank you. I can get the immo unit for that ecu.

Would I still need to swap ignition unit or would swapping the key chip suffice?
The existing keys can be reprogrammed to the replacement Immo

Thanks everyone for the help. Changed the ecu successfully. Only needed key chip and immobilizer ring. Was able to keep my original key and ignition.
