I have a 96 Sunrunner ( same as Suzuki Sidekick) 2 Door .

It had a basic 2" lift including crown vic springs and spacers I think amounts to 2" of lift.

It does have 5.12 gearing , has manual front locking hubs and I installed a front locker . Tires are 235 75 15 at present , just shy of 29".

It will not be a daily driver, it is kept at my cottage and used for towing my
boat and airplane in and out of the water. I installed a front hitch for pushing
the airplane in and out of the water so will need a strong front end spring to
take that load from time to time.

I want to use this for off-road trails as well, mostly logging roads but will have to cross rivers , march , bogs ,the occasional road wash outs in the road and
rocky beaches .

Not looking to do heavy articulating rock climbing but would like another inch or two so I can run a little larger tire. My guess is 30" tire would suffice and to be honest that would do if I had the clearance . My biggest issue right now is the clearance for the tire.

What would you suggest from here? I don't mind going to a full replacement
suspension but want to keep it somewhat drivable for the occasional run on the highway .

Hi roxiedog13,

I guess that you can try Goodyear MT 30*9,5. They may fit your needs, even if you drive in such conditions occasionally. I've tested their grip on the wet slippery road and they rock it. My husband bought Goodyear here https://www.tirendo.ie/ for his Suzuki Grand Vitara and was happy with them.
As for the suspension, I dunno what exactly to suggest... Maybe you can consider 2 lift suspension by Calmini.There are many good reviews on them.

Looks like nothing coming your way...I will share the little bit of knowledge I have and maybe it will help you. I have been looking at the same things as you. I have a 4 door with 2" spacer lift and the same size tires. I would like just a touch more. Apparently going much beyonder 2" of lift can start causing cv joint issues if you do not drop the front diff. I have seen things online that a 31" tire is possible on a stock height tracker/sidekick/etc. Apparently there is wheel well difference that makes it more possible. If this is so, you could pribably definitely fit them with 2" of lift.
Do you have the Crown Vic springs on the front or rear? If stock springs still on front you can make some Ford Ranger/Explorer springs work to eliminate the spacers, and a GM W-Body rear (i believe) strut up front to eliminate the strut spacer. I think the big thing for you (and myself) is to decide if you want to mess with dropping the front diff.
