I have a 2004 Suzuki Vitara and i dont know what to do. the steering has a good 5 to 6 inches of play, yet is stiff ( meaning it turns five or six inches past what is normal but is stiff) I took it to get an alignment and get everything looked at and they said there was nothing wrong and no need for an alignment but obviously something is. Please Help!!

For an alignment shop to NOT correct (or at least acknowledge the issue and recommend a fix) for a problem that blatant is crazy. Centering the steering wheel and a visual inspection is part of the alignment procedure, AND this is an unsafe vehicle to operate.
