Hi Guys,

I imported a suzuki every van from Japan, it is right hand drive, I am in Canada where we use left hand drive. So, I need the headlight assembly (glass part).

I need the type in the picture below.

If someone can get me a set of these headlights I would gladly pay for them and thier time/shipping etc. I am pretty sure there are LHD every's in the Phillipines.

I'm just curious, is there a difference for the headlight if its from left or right hand drive configuration?

btw, haven't seen a van like yours here in our country.

I believe that in countrys that drive on the left side of the road the low beam points to the left shoulder.
Here in Canada we our low beams point to the right side of the road.
With high powered light there is a pattern that slops toward the shoulder and has a cut off on the part of the beam that is on the road. This is so oncoming traffic is not blinded by the glare.

Light alingment

Greetings! Your explination of light patterns and the illistration of diffrence in left and right hand drive countries is very good.
Do they have safty inspections in Canada? If so it should have been checked for proper alingment. If not, you need to go to a repair shop and get the lights alinged according to the illistration you gave. Removeing the cover around the head lights or the turn signals gives access to the adjustment screws. As I said before ALL headlights are the same, just adjusted diffrently.

BTW I noticed your picture is parked on the LEFT side of the road, and still has Japanease tags on it. Also it has not had the steering wheel moved to the left. Strange picture from Canada, nice van, has fog lights and big truck mirrors, and high back seats, must be sombody customised it.

this is a very debateable point. First look close at the headlight lens. you will see that it is smooth on the outside but ribbed on the inside. these ribs are in fact prisms designed to throw the beam left or right according to which countrys headlights you happen to be using. I had one hell of a game with mine trying to get new lenses. The adjustment with the two screws is for up and down mainly with a little left to right movement. I bought new lenses in Davao and the guy says they are for left hand drive. No way! Both my lights are now set as far to the right as they will possibly go and still i have oncomming traffic flashing at me at night. Here in Mindanao 95% of the cars have the wrong lights fitted. Night driving is hell here. imagine, you are driving along at night, you dip your lights for the oncoming traffic but their lights are blinding you to the point you can not see if there is anyone walking in the roadside. People here seem to think its a good idea here to drive without lights too which seems to make it worse. I now have 4 headlights (two spare) they all throw the beam to the left. So. all headlights are not the same i can assure you. If you think yours are right, get someone else to drivet towards you in the dark and see just how wrong you are.

U-R-Right!

:D Greetings, I had my cats eye Suzuky converted to round eye because the cats eye cant be adjusted. (U Right, Me Bad) stock lights from Japan (round) can be adjusted. I am trying to get measurments for them, I think a US DOT Ford will fit. Prisums are definetly left, but in Cebu, they are still better than cats eye. They should stop inporting the cats eye as it is a hazzard. 3 in 1 in Manduay Cebu has the parts needed to convert to round eye. Lights , turn signals, and radiator trim panel cost me about p 2800. I didnt haggel, mabey U can get them cheaper. A round light from Tiwan Is avalibel, but it is only 65W. I put 90/100 in mine, I need to get an alingment board made so I can check if they are good.
