I've searched all the major players for floor liners and can't find any custom fit for the Tracker. Has anyone found any? Or cut to fit ones that do a good job of keeping snow, sand, water, etc on the mat? Thanks.

Take a closer look, apart from the cargo liners, those aren't custom fitted.

My point exactly, they are "cut to fit", and they don't fit - I have them in a couple of my vehicles.

I installed the rubber set from my 4Runner, they don't fit particularly well but they do the job. Except for the driver's side, which is pretty funny considering that's the most important one for many people. When I have the opportunity to address it I'm leaning towards making my own out of scrap rubber or another vehicle's set.

For my 1989 Suzuki Sidekick JX (same as Tracker) convertible 4x4, I've installed the following custom flooring from www.accmats.com:
  • Cut-to-fit floor carpeting for passenger and cargo compartments and
  • Matching floor mats.
You can see the front and rear floor mats on the passenger (near) side of the photo.

Prior to replacing the carpet, I did replace the rusty floor pan, painted it and lined it with Dynamat for sound-proofing.

Weather Tech ? Interesting that you are using a couple sets of them so they must fit good enough.

The fit is no better than any other universal cut to fit, they are however a better quality product than most and they are usually deeper - I generally don't have a problem with snow & water (living in the Caribbean has it's advantages), they trap the sand well enough.

Remove all carpets, spray inside with bed liner, easier to clean?

I have universal mats too in my vehicles, they are a compromise, nothing fits quite right but they keep the mud off the carpets.

The auto carpets from www.accmats.com auto carpets can be ordered with a mass backing that can absorb some of the noise. I installed both Dynamat and the integral mass backing to lower noise. The carpet material itself also absorbs noise.

As for spray-on coatings, I understand that they too absorb noise when applied as an undercoating.

For vintage cars, I recommend replacing the floor pan if there is rust.
