Hello Everyone;

I have a F5A engine on my Suzuki. My problem is that when the engine is hot I am having a hard time to start it. I have to wait for some minutes to cool the engine so I can restart it. Anybody who can help:(

I am assuming the F5A engine has a carb? If so some extra insulation and/or a heat shield between the carb and the manifold should do the trick. I know on my old Saab I had a similar problem caused by heat evaporating the fuel in the carb - I made a simple shield out of thin metal (bully beef can!) and the problem was solved.

Thank you Beancounter69. Yes, it has a carburator, but it is on the opposite side of the engine, the manifold is on the other side. But I will try your suggestion to insulate the carburator. I agree that may be the gasoline is evaporating at high engine temperature.
