Hi Guys,

Just wondering whether some one could advise me...

The handbrake is rather slack on my vitara (1990 UK model JLX) and so referring to the Hayes manual, I set about reading up on how to adjust it myself. However it doesn't seem to describe the adjustment method for the vitara model. It seems that the adjustment thread is not beneather the car but within the central casing between the seats.

Please could someone confirm as to whether you have to take this central casing off in order to gain access to the adjustment thread? If so, it looks like I'll have to take the seats out aswell as I can't get to the front screws of the casing as the seats are in the way! :(

Any ideas / actual suzuki service notes would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
